In addition to being able to provide expertise and knowledge for our Partners, we have the capacity to raise additional capital for the growth of the business when required.
We can provide technical support and corporate advice by way of regular communication throughout the partnership.
Through our marketing network we are able to negotiate with international commodity Buyers to maximise the return of our Partner’s production.
NIGERIA. A Joint Venture Agreement has been signed with ECJO & Company Ltd, to provide finance and technical support to develop their mining interests in Plateau State, Nigeria. They include tin, lithium, REEs, molybdenum, lead and zinc prospects. A Business Plan and a Geological report of the prospects for the region has been submitted by ECJO which includes a strategy, where possible to process mined ore in-country to add value prior to export.
OUR STRATEGY
S J Global Mining HK Ltd invests in operating mines and those with near term production potential requiring either start-up or additional capital. As a Partner we will work closely with mine managements, offering technical, financial and organizational support as may be required. We will always look for opportunities to maximise added value of the product being mined. Once our investment is made, our policy is to remain supportive and fully engaged.
Social Obligations
As a mining investment company, we place the highest priority on the sustainable enhancement of the lives of those communities living within the vicinity of mining operations. Our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes focuses on encouraging community driven initiatives to enhance our impact in economic, social and environmental issues at the local level.
ENVIRONMENTAL OBLIGATIONS
We will, uncompromisingly abide by national and internationally recognised environmental laws applicable to the mining industry, which is the preservation of the environment and the mitigation of any damage caused by mining activities with effective restoration programmes.

Jeremy Hawke
Chief Executive OfficerA Chartered Engineer, with more than 45 years’ experience in the African, Asian and eastern European mining and metallurgical extraction industries. He has worked in senior management for Anglo American and Rio Tinto in their African operations.
Following this was a period of time as a consultant when he managed EDF and World Bank funded mining projects. Typically, this involved Institutional strengthening and capacity building assignments for the mining sectors, specifically Cameroon, Zambia, Indonesia, DRC and Sierra Leone. He led a team of specialists, funded by the World Bank to re-write the basis of the current Cameroonian Mining Code. Experienced in managing metallurgical, geological and mine engineering infrastructure programmes. Familiar with the development of training programmes for skilled and semi-skilled indigenous engineering staff.
Neil Walsh
Managing DirectorNeil Walsh is an entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience, with his business interests largely centred in the real estate, investment and financial sectors.
Neil is the Group Managing Director of S J Global Investments and is responsible for the direction and overall success of the company working closely with the other directors. Being committed to business, Neil is relentless and perceivers making the most of his experience. By constantly evolving and upgrading his skills this has enabled him to push S J Global Investments forward and keep ahead of the curve.
Good relationships with clients are key. Neil comes from an era where your word was your word and business was done with a handshake and Neil has retained this level of integrity to this day. Neil is at the forefront of managing client relationships which has been essential to his work within the company.
Neil has held regulated positions as far back as 1992 when he arrived in the UK from South Africa and started working in the City of London. He is hardworking, knowledgeable and has a knack for putting people a t ease - all key ingredients for longevity in the business world.
FINANCE AND INVESTMENT
FINANCE
As a private limited company, S J Global Mining HK Ltd is self-funded and does not rely on the markets to finance its investments.
INVESTMENT CRITERIA
S J Global Mining HK Ltd primarily invests in existing mining projects and those with near term production potential including mine expansion or modernisation programmes. The Company has the capacity to undertake investments into multi-million-dollar mining projects.
In return for our investment, we will consider various financial arrangements such taking an equity stake, a life of mine income stream or product marketing agreements.
TARGET MINERALS
Except for fossil fuels, S J Global Mining HK will consider investing into all types of mines and related activities including:
- Base and Precious metals
- Precious and semi-precious stones
- Tailings dumps re-processing operations
- Rare earth and other strategic minerals
- Open pit and underground
- Smelters
